We’ve had another busy few months with lots going on in all areas of the service. Since mid-September we have been running a therapy project with the Neurotherapy Partnership and have been providing tailored occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy programmes for some of our clients. We’ve had some excellent results already and it has been very exciting to see clients achieve their goals – from improved mobility to managing public transport unaccompanied and independent meal preparation. We hope to work with local NHS commissioners to be able to continue to offer therapy services at our Newick centre. Watch this space!
We were delighted to receive the prestigious LaingBuisson Brain Injury Rehabilitation award for our Rediscover group. The award was presented by Michael Portillo at a gala dinner at the London Lancaster Hotel on November 11th. More information to follow on this in our New Year edition of Heads Up.
